12 April 2008 - Guernsey Mint Press Office
After many years producing the much desired Guernsey Mint collectors bullion coins as well as trading the highest quality gold bars, silver bars, platinum bars and palladium bars, the Guernsey Mint Bullion Company is proud to announce the launch of the Guernsey Mint Bullion Company Fine Gold Bars.
The bars came into fruition due to the public demand from the Mints customers for high quality investment fine gold bars. They are smelted with 999.9 fine gold and are available in 50gm, 100gm and 250gms.
Director Simon Russell comments, “we are extremely proud of the bars that we produce, they follow a line of products that we have developed over a number of years with skills honed over a number of generations. Our family business, amongst other things, has recieved commissions to craft pieces for the British Royal Family as well as designing and making various gold and silver coins, so for us it was a natural addition to our gold bars and silver bars portfolio to sell our own high-quality bullion”.
GOLD - GETTING PHYSICAL WITH YOUR PORTFOLIO
12 April 2008 - Bruce Russell (founder of the Guernsey Mint)
Gold is often considered a low risk option when compared to the multitude of investment options out there. The risk factor in owning gold bullion or gold bars has been traditionally on a par with having cash in the bank or life assurance, the difference being, in these uncertain times, gold has a staying power that has seen it through recession.
Through out history, when currencies have collapsed and economies have failed, gold has kept its bargaining power.
The advantage with physical gold bullion is exactly that; it is physical and as a commodity will always be desirable. It’s for this reason that it should always be consider as a necessary and considered addition to any investment portfolio.
A quality gold bar is like a good marriage - solid, yet sexy in equal measures!
